Digital Health Innovation by Design: A Logic Model Scaffold for Rural, Regional, and Remote Settings
Summary. Digital health innovations often fail in rural and remote settings because they ignore local needs, workforce challenges, and geographic complexity. This paper presents a four-step logic model scaffold that guides planning, implementation, and evaluation of digital health projects in these contexts. The approach emphasizes understanding local context, aligning interventions with system enablers, and building in ongoing adaptation rather than following rigid linear plans.
