The diffusion of financial technology-enabled innovation in GCC-listed banks and its relationship with profitability and market value

Summary. This study examines how financial technology adoption affects profitability and market value in banks across Gulf Cooperation Council countries. Using a 73-item diffusion index, researchers found that higher FinTech implementation correlates with better market performance. UAE banks led adoption at 79.7%, followed by Bahrain at 76.7%. The findings support policies encouraging technology integration in banking operations.
