Microfinance and Poverty Reduction Nexus among Rural Women in Selected Districts in the Upper West Region of Ghana

Summary. Microfinance access enables rural women in Ghana's Upper West Region to acquire assets and improve their well-being, reducing poverty and vulnerability. The study of 200 women found that education and marital status positively correlate with asset accumulation, while household dependents negatively affect it. Women participating in microfinance programs gain financial independence and contribute more effectively to their families and communities.
