Adaptation Strategies and Farmer-led Agricultural Innovations to Climate Change in Mbire Districtof Zimbabwe
Summary. Smallholder farmers in Zimbabwe's Mbire District have developed multiple climate adaptation strategies, including planting drought-resistant crops, diversifying livelihoods through brick-making and livestock sales, and adopting farmer-led innovations like improved maize varieties and cassava cultivation. Gender, education, and farm size shape these adaptations. Financial, technological, and institutional barriers limit farmers' ability to adapt further.
