Development of design principles of microgrid on the basis of renewable energy sources for rural settlements in Central European part of Russia

Summary. This paper develops design principles for microgrids powered by renewable energy in rural Russian settlements without access to centralized electricity networks. The authors calculate annual power consumption requirements, determine optimal combinations of solar and wind generation, and design microgrid structures that ensure reliable continuous power supply to residents.
