Entrepreneurial Intention among Rural Youth in Moroccan Agricultural Cooperatives: The Future of Rural Entrepreneurship

Summary. Rural youth in Moroccan agricultural cooperatives face significant barriers to entrepreneurship. Using planned behavior theory, researchers surveyed 130 young cooperative members and found that financing constraints and agribusiness risks discourage entrepreneurial intentions, particularly among women. Socio-demographic factors, personal perceptions, prior experience, and cooperative activities all influence whether youth pursue self-employment or remain cooperative members.
