Contribution of Micro-Finance on Socio-Economic Development of Rural Community
Summary. Microfinance institutions in rural Nepal significantly contribute to socio-economic development by providing savings and credit services to poor, disadvantaged, and marginalized communities, particularly women. A study of eight microfinance organizations in Syangja district found they drove measurable social change and development across diverse activities. However, the research identifies that improving internal management systems would enable these institutions to deliver services more effectively.
