The impact of belonging to the rural local community on the relationship between opinion leadership and innovation. An analytical study using the mediation analysis model.

Summary. This study examines how community belonging mediates the relationship between leadership and innovation among farmers adopting modern irrigation systems in rural Egypt. Surveying 291 farmers, researchers found that 73.9% showed high leadership levels, 56% demonstrated strong community belonging, and 56.7% exhibited medium innovation adoption. Community belonging partially mediated the leadership-innovation relationship, meaning it strengthens how leaders drive farmers to adopt modern irrigation technologies.
