Summary. The paper presents an open IoT platform deployed across rural Senegal and Ghana and urban Togo to address environmental challenges in Western Africa. The full-stack framework reduces energy consumption and emissions while meeting the region's specific environmental, economic, and social needs. Three real testbeds demonstrate how IoT technology can support sustainable development in African contexts.
