Summary. Microfinance institutions in rural Sierra Leone before the 2013 Ebola outbreak successfully provided access to credit for business, farming, and construction activities, with strong delivery of financial services scoring 8 out of 10 for accessibility. However, skills training and community support programs were ineffective, and while individual beneficiaries improved their living standards, these gains did not extend to broader community development.
