Summary. This paper designs and optimizes an off-grid solar photovoltaic system for a rural house in Morocco. The system combines 1080 Wp of solar panels with battery storage and a diesel generator backup, achieving 79% solar coverage and electricity costs of $0.57/kWh. Further optimization reduces costs to $0.356/kWh by lowering solar capacity, demonstrating how renewable energy systems can provide affordable, clean power to rural African communities.
