Changing Fortunes of Government Policies and Its Implications on the Application of Agricultural Innovations in Cameroon

Summary. Government policy shifts in Cameroon have undermined agricultural infrastructure and research institutions, creating barriers to innovation adoption among farmers. Despite agriculture's critical role in the economy and poverty reduction, budget allocation has not translated into functional support systems. The author argues that continued policy neglect will severely limit farmers' ability to adopt innovations, reducing productivity and food security, and calls for coordinated action beyond government alone.
