Supporting rural entrepreneurship: a review of conceptual developments from research to practice
Summary. Rural entrepreneurship differs fundamentally from mainstream entrepreneurship research, which focuses on high-growth, high-tech ventures. Rural entrepreneurship offers alternative pathways for job creation and economic development that leverage local citizens and markets rather than following conventional high-growth models.
