Bridging and bonding social capital in place-based rural careers advising
Summary. Rural careers advisors in western Victoria develop place-based education programs by building social capital through local relationships and knowledge. The study finds that advisors who bridge connections across their communities and bond with local networks create more relevant and effective careers guidance. This approach helps ensure rural students access quality education needed for positive post-school outcomes.
