A Guide for Stakeholder Analysis in IS/IT Management and Research: The Case of Broadband Availability in Rural North Carolina
Summary. This paper provides a practical guide for conducting stakeholder analysis in information systems research, using rural broadband availability in North Carolina as a case study. The authors combine methods from IS/IT, organizational management, and public policy to help researchers identify stakeholders, understand their concerns, map relationships between them, and develop strategies for policy recommendations or theory building. The framework addresses a methodological gap in IS/IT research.
