ADVANCING A TYPOLOGY OF OPEN INNOVATION

Peter T. Gianiodis, Scott C. Ellis, Enrico Secchi · 2010 · International Journal of Innovation Management

Summary. Each strategy combines different sources of innovation, firm characteristics, and inter-organizational exchange mechanisms to produce different outcomes. The typology provides a conceptual framework for understanding how organizations pursue open innovation and suggests directions for future research.
