Training Rural Educators in Kentucky through Distance Learning: Impact with Follow-up Data
Summary. The TREK-DL project delivered distance education courses in special education to rural Kentucky graduate students since 1989. Surveys showed students were satisfied with course content and delivery formats, though technology issues occurred. Graduates implemented best practices for children with disabilities in their work and shared these practices with colleagues, creating systemic changes at their employment sites.
