Summary. This study develops guidelines for adaptive development of agricultural enterprises in rural Ukraine, emphasizing multifunctional agrarian economies that balance production, employment, and quality of life. The authors identify key performance indicators and create a toolkit for activating rural innovation, using Vinnytsia region as a case study. They argue that diversified rural development outperforms mono-sectoral approaches, enabling sustainable growth and better use of local resources.
