Summary. The Osage Nation developed a tribal farm to address food insecurity and chronic disease among its citizens. When remote and mobility-limited community members couldn't access farm products, the Nation partnered with the Center for Indigenous Health Equity to conduct participatory research identifying food access barriers. This led to a mobile market delivering locally produced meats, herbs, and vegetables to underserved areas, prioritizing food sovereignty and addressing structural inequality.
