Rekindling network protocol innovation with user-level stacks
Summary. This paper is not about rural innovation. It addresses network protocol design and implementation in computing systems, specifically proposing user-level protocol stacks to accelerate innovation in internet transport protocols. The work presents MultiStack, a system enabling faster deployment of new network protocols and extensions without waiting for widespread adoption of kernel-level changes.
