Rural Renewable Energy Resources Assessment and Electricity Development Scenario Simulation Based on the LEAP Model
Summary. This study assesses renewable energy resources in rural Chinese pilot cities using CNN technology, engineering software, and statistical methods. Researchers found substantial solar (15.63 GW), wind (458.3 MW), and biomass potential. They optimized hybrid power systems combining renewables with coal and modeled electricity scenarios to 2030. Results show that pure renewable energy scenarios dramatically reduce emissions and pollutants, with carbon dioxide peaking in 2024 under carbon capture scenarios.
