Understanding Rural Revival: Dynamics of Community Ties and Place‐Based Leadership

Summary. This study examines rural revival in Poland's Kłodzko region, finding that reviving villages possess dense social networks, high local engagement, and elevated trust compared to national averages. However, social capital alone doesn't guarantee success—local leaders must employ strategic approaches including balanced communication, inclusive community-building, adaptive leadership, and sustainable development visions centered on local identity. The research demonstrates that effective rural revival depends on the interaction between strong social capital and purposeful leadership.
