Renewable energy for rural development in Turkey

Summary. Turkey has significantly improved rural energy access over three decades, with cooking efficiency rising from 25% to 60% and nearly universal electrification achieved. Renewable energy offers job creation and climate benefits while providing sufficient technical potential to supply the country's electricity needs.
