Tarryn Kille, Retha Wiesner, Seung-Yong Lee, Melissa Morgan, Jane Summers, Daniel Davoodian · 2022 · Sustainability

Summary. This study surveyed 188 women entrepreneurs in rural, regional, and remote Queensland, Australia to understand how economic, social, and cultural capital influence their entrepreneurial engagement. The researchers attribute this to how rural communities rely on networks as survival mechanisms. The findings offer insights for policymakers designing programs to support women's entrepreneurship in remote areas.
