Viability assessment of renewable energy potential for sustainable rural electrification in Bushenyi District, Uganda
Summary. Solar and wind energy can reliably electrify rural areas in Bushenyi District, Uganda, if designed with energy storage and hybrid systems to handle intermittency. The research shows renewable energy systems improve economic development, public service access, and energy resilience in off-grid communities. Strategic planning and policy support make these systems cost-effective and environmentally sustainable for rural electrification.
