Women's Entrepreneurship and Rural Tourism in Greece: Private Enterprises and Cooperatives

Summary. Women entrepreneurs in rural Greece pursue agro-tourism through two distinct models: private enterprises and cooperatives. A survey of 199 women reveals significant differences between the two groups. Women choosing private enterprises tend to be younger, better educated, and more self-confident, while cooperative members are typically older, less educated, and more hesitant about business decisions.
