Richard Lang, Matthias Fink, Ewald Kibler · 2013 · International Small Business Journal Researching Entrepreneurship

Summary. This study examines how local institutions shape entrepreneurial behavior in rural Central Europe across five countries. The fit between different institutional types determines whether entrepreneurial practices emerge in specific locations. Entrepreneurs in rural transition and non-transition contexts adopt different strategies based on place-specific institutional conditions.
