Women entrepreneurship development and sustainable rural livelihoods in Zimbabwe

Summary. Women entrepreneurs in rural Zimbabwe face multiple barriers to sustainable livelihoods, including inadequate government support, patriarchal social structures, insufficient business knowledge, limited access to credit, and time constraints balancing family and work. The study identifies that successful women entrepreneurship depends on financial, environmental, psychological, and sociological factors. Recommendations include entrepreneurship training, supportive government policies, and network access.
