Development Product Inclusive Islamic Finance for Push Growth of MSMEs in Rural Areas

Summary. This study develops inclusive Islamic finance products to support growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises in rural Indonesia. Researchers surveyed and interviewed rural MSMEs to identify their financial needs and barriers. Most rural MSMEs would adopt Islamic finance services if products were more accessible and affordable. The paper recommends Islamic financial literacy programs, incentives for Islamic financial institutions in rural areas, and digital-based product development to improve financial inclusion and rural economic welfare.
