Building a Citizen and Inclusive Scientific Culture: Dialogue between Indigenous Knowledge and Education for Sustainable Innovation in the Lékoumou Department of the Republic of Congo
Summary. The paper examines how indigenous knowledge and formal science education fail to connect in Congo's Lékoumou Department, trapping communities in poverty and unsustainable practices. The author argues that co-constructing knowledge through participatory education models can bridge this gap, enabling indigenous peoples to become agents of sustainable innovation by leveraging their cultural heritage and environmental expertise.
