Augmented Reality for Teaching Storytelling in a Rural Foundation Phase Primary School: Integrating a Place-Based Approach
Summary. This study combined augmented reality technology with place-based teaching to improve storytelling instruction in a rural South African primary school. Teachers and students using AR-enhanced activities showed greater motivation, engagement, and problem-solving skills compared to traditional instruction. The research demonstrates that technology-integrated, team-based learning approaches significantly improve literacy outcomes in rural classroom settings.
