Distribution of Projects Financed by Means of the National Rural Development Programs in Cluj-Napoca Metropolitan Area

Summary. This paper examines how National Rural Development Program funding was distributed across 19 communes in the Cluj-Napoca Metropolitan Area during 2007-2013 and 2014-2020. The research shows that communes closer to the city accessed different types of projects than those maintaining rural character, reflecting varying levels of urban influence. Project distribution patterns reveal how communes pursued agricultural modernization, rural economic diversification, and quality-of-life improvements differently based on their proximity to urban centers.
