Designers' and indigenous potters' collaboration towards innovation in pottery production
Summary. Designers and indigenous potters in Ghana collaborated to innovate pottery production while preserving cultural identity. Female potters with 25+ years experience and young men using improvised machinery adopted design thinking and new production methods. Through creative skills development, potters maintained cultural consciousness and satisfaction while producing culturally relevant, market-appealing products that reflected contemporary life.
