Documenting Agricultural Indigenous Knowledge and provision of access through Online Database platform
Summary. Rural communities in Uganda possess valuable agricultural indigenous knowledge that faces extinction due to environmental and cultural changes. This study documented AIK practices across three districts and created an online database platform to preserve and share this knowledge. The researchers trained field assistants to collect data from farmers, validated findings through community workshops, and built a digital system to prevent loss of traditional agricultural expertise and problem-solving strategies.
