The Adoption of Automatic Teller Machines in Nigeria: An Application of the Theory of Diffusion of Innovation
Summary. This paper applies diffusion of innovation theory to examine how automatic teller machines were adopted across Nigeria. The study analyzes the factors and patterns influencing ATM adoption in the Nigerian banking sector, using established innovation diffusion frameworks to understand technology uptake in a developing country context.
