INTEGRATION OF NANOTECHNOLOGY AND INDIGENOUS AFRICAN AGRICULTURAL KNOWLEDGE: A REVIEW
Summary. African farmers traditionally use indigenous agricultural knowledge to manage pests and diseases sustainably and affordably. This review examines how combining indigenous practices with nanotechnology through green methods can improve pesticide production and distribution. The authors analyzed 46 studies and found that integrating traditional knowledge with nanotechnology offers an economical, environmentally friendly approach to crop protection while addressing concerns about toxicity and acceptance.
