Rural Malay Involvement in Malaysian Herbal Entrepreneurship
Summary. Rural Malay youth show growing involvement in herbal entrepreneurship in Malaysia, but technical expertise remains weak. The study of ten rural herbal entrepreneurs reveals that while the number of Malay entrepreneurs increases gradually, technical-based entrepreneurship lags significantly. Government and development planners must prioritize human capital development, technical training, and financial resources to boost participation among rural youth in this sector.
