Unleashing innovation in rural areas: Insights from Quadruple helix case studies
Summary. This paper examines 11 rural innovation spaces worldwide using the Quadruple helix framework, which brings together government, business, universities, and the public. The research identifies three key themes for building successful rural innovation spaces: People as the Bridge, Geographic strategy, and Local Knowledge Integration. These themes provide practical guidance for authorities, businesses, universities, and communities to create innovation spaces that deliver social, environmental, and economic benefits.
