COMMUNITY-BASED ENTREPRENEURSHIP: A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT MODEL TO BOOST ENTREPRENEURIAL COMMITMENT IN RURAL MICRO ENTERPRISES

Summary. Community-based entrepreneurship programs led by higher education institutions effectively boost rural micro-enterprise development. The study finds that entrepreneurs' attitudes—particularly perceived benefits and risk tolerance—most strongly drive business development commitment. Social pressure and environmental factors have minimal influence. Perceived behavioral control and demographic characteristics like age, gender, and education significantly determine whether entrepreneurs actually implement business improvements.
