A new model of rural development based on human capital and entrepreneurship
Summary. Rural development depends heavily on entrepreneurship and human capital, which together drive economic growth in rural areas. The paper reviews academic literature on rural development and presents research findings on economic growth models for rural regions in the 21st century. The authors argue that connecting rural amenities with socio-economic development is essential and demonstrate how successful rural economic growth models can be implemented in Serbia.
