Enhancing Women’s Entrepreneurship in Rural Ecuador: A Study Protocol Aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals

Summary. A business training program in rural Ecuador significantly boosts women entrepreneurs' self-efficacy and decision-making capacity. The program targets obstacles like limited education access, financial services, and business networks. Pre-pilot results show 54% gains in self-efficacy and 200% improvements in locus of control. The study measures business performance through sales growth and financial stability, directly supporting sustainable development goals around gender equality, education, and economic growth.
