Evaluation of rural communities for the planning of renewable energy projects: aSWOT-AHP methodological framework
Summary. This paper tests a SWOT-AHP methodological framework for planning renewable energy projects in rural communities. The approach combines SWOT analysis to gather local stakeholder knowledge with the Analytical Hierarchy Process to prioritize community needs. The framework aims to increase social acceptance of renewable technologies, reduce project risks, and support rural development by addressing social, economic, and environmental problems.
