Diffusion of Innovation in Ghana: The Adoption of M health among Pregnant Women in Ayensu Ade Rural Community in The Gomoa West District

Summary. This study examined how persuasion variables influence pregnant women's adoption of mobile health (mHealth) technology in a rural Ghanaian community. Using interviews and focus groups, researchers found that relative advantage, trialability, and compatibility drove adoption among pregnant women, while community health nurses perceived the system as easing their workload. The mHealth intervention expanded healthcare reach, improved medical compliance, and promoted disease prevention behaviors.
