Women, networks and enterprise: the impact of social capital on rural artisans’ entrepreneurship
Summary. Social networks significantly empower rural women artisans in Pakistan by enabling market access, skill development, and sustainable business practices. Group-based support structures strengthen economic resilience through cooperative effort and improved financial access. However, sociocultural constraints still limit women's economic participation. Policymakers should strengthen women's entrepreneurial networks and facilitate finance access to enhance rural economic resilience.
