“Does Digital Education Bridge the Urban-Rural Divide in STEM Education in China? Analyzing Accessibility, Engagement, and Outcomes”
Summary. Digital education platforms have expanded STEM access in rural China, but significant gaps persist. Rural students face obstacles including undertrained teachers, limited resources, and weak community support despite improved infrastructure. The paper argues that targeted interventions—better teacher training, stronger parental engagement, and customized programs—are essential to close the urban-rural education divide and improve both immediate learning outcomes and long-term educational aspirations.
