The Impact of Digital Inclusive Finance Development on the Consumption Gap between Urban and Rural Residents in Shandong Province

Summary. Digital inclusive finance development in Shandong Province reduces the consumption and income gap between urban and rural residents, according to empirical analysis of 14 cities from 2011 to 2020. The study finds that expanding digital financial services promotes overall resident consumption and supports more balanced regional economic development.
