Industry Chain Risks and Breakthroughs in Indigenous Innovation by Chinese Enterprises
Summary. Industrial chain disruptions and technological blockades push Chinese enterprises to develop indigenous innovation capabilities. The study finds that upstream firms respond by filling domestic market gaps, driven by competitive pressure and government support. These innovations create spillover benefits for downstream enterprises. The authors recommend strengthening self-reliance in key sectors, refining innovation support policies, and fostering international supply chain cooperation.
