The Digital Divide in Post-Pandemic Education: Perceptions of Urban and Rural EFL Teachers in Indonesia

Summary. This study examines how English teachers in Indonesia perceived the shift to online education during COVID-19, comparing urban and rural experiences. Urban teachers grew frustrated with engagement and pedagogy, while rural teachers faced severe barriers including poor internet access, limited devices, and low digital literacy. The research shows that one-size-fits-all technology policies fail in Indonesia's diverse landscape and calls for context-specific infrastructure investment.
