Place-based provider perspectives of rural provider-to-provider telehealth in country Western Australia: A qualitative study

Summary. Rural provider-to-provider telehealth in Western Australia enables collaborative patient care between local and remote healthcare providers. Interviews with 28 nurses, doctors, and midwives identified twelve contextual factors affecting implementation, including service strengths, interpersonal dynamics, organizational systems, infrastructure, and shifting professional roles. Success depends on system integration, communication, shared understanding, and resource availability across geographically dispersed health systems.
