Techno-economic assessment of a hybrid renewable energy storage system for rural community towards achieving sustainable development goals
Summary. This paper evaluates a hybrid renewable energy system combining solar, battery storage, hydrogen, and fuel cells for a rural community in Bangladesh without grid access. The optimized system costs $25,099 and produces energy at $0.34/kWh, delivering clean electricity while supporting sustainable development. The authors conclude that scaling such systems requires government support and investment in rural developing regions.
